Get Up There is a public awareness movement, fundraiser and event to raise the awareness in Nova Scotia about Colorectal Cancer. The mission is to raise the awareness for the prevention and reduce the stigma associated with the colorectal screening.

Having raised over $250,000 since 2009, Get Up There is coming strong for it's 8th annual summit. Our work is a long way away from done. Colorectal cancer continues to be the second leading cause of cancer deaths among Nova Scotians (and 1st among males). Every day one Nova Scotian will die from a disease that if detected in the early stages is 90% preventable.

Our goal this year is to raise over $50,000 and increase the percentage of Home Screening Kits being used.

To make this a reality, we need your help. On Friday, March 11th, 2016, we want Ski Wentworth to be filled with the most GUT participants we’ve ever seen. The more people we can get on the hill, the more money we can raise to increase awareness and help advocate the importance of early detection.

Get Up There is a great team building activity for your office, a bonding experience for your family and just a great day in the outdoors with your friends. Help fight the stigma of colorectal cancer and get up there.
